| I finally got the courage to write my first story. Never done this before so please be kind.CHAPTER:1It was Friday evening and I was taking a walk exploring the new neighborhood I just moved into. The houses had getting nicer the farther I walked. Suddenly a large dog bounded up to me on the sidewalk from the opposite direction. "hey big fella where did you come from?" He was wagging his tail and licking my hand. This dog was extremely friendly. He looked like a Siberean Husky. "Well let's find out where your home is?" He started following me as I continued walking down the sidewalk in the direction he had come from. Further up the street a man had come out of a gate looking around. Whenhe saw the dog he shouted, "There you are Rex, come here boy." Rex took off toward the sound of his master's voice. He then raced back toward me and kind of nudged me in the direction of his master. "Well it looks like someone found a new friend." "I'm Bret", he said holding out his hand as I reached him. "I'm Neil", I said shaking his hand. "Is this your dog?" "Yeah it seems Rex got out of the yard. He's pretty crafty". Rex started jumped up on me with his paws on shoulders and licked my face. "Rex get down! Sorry about that." "Oh that's alright. He isn't bothering me. He's just being friendly.", I replied. As Rex glanced back and forth between the two men, Bret commentted, "Well he certainly wanted us to meet. Thanks for finding him. Would you like something to drink?" "Sure.""So his name is Rex huh?" "Yeah", Bret answeared while walking back to his house. "He certainly has taken a liking to you Neil. I've never seen him act so enthusiastic about anyone." "Animals just seem to like me", I said. " I think animals intuition and insticts are more finely tuned than our own. They can tell a good person from a bad one. Rex just probably picked up that I'm kind to animals and I wouldn't harm him." They got to Bret's house which was huge with a large yard. "Wow! Nice place", Neil exclaimed. "What are you having a beer or something stronger", Bret asked. "I'll have a scotch", replied Neil. "Coming right up." Rex was still hovering around Neil licking his hand and wagging his tail excitedly. Bret returned with the drinks and they sat. "Thanks again for finding Rex" Bret said gratefully. "No problem", Neil answered. "I love dogs and he looked well cared for so he had to belong to someone." Just then a large Great Dane came padding into the room went right over to Neil and stuck his snout in his croutch. "Thor, stop that!", yelled Bret. Thor then jumped up on Neil with his paws on his shoulders looking him in the eye before licking his face. "Thor Down!", shouted Bret. "I'm really sorry Neil. I don't know what's come over the dogs.They're just going crazy over you." "Don't worry about it". came Neil's reply. "He's just checking me out and introducing himself. I'm not offended, I love dogs. Unfortunately, I can't have any pets where I just moved to. "That's too bad", sighed Bret, "I don't know what I would do without the guys."END OF PART ONEWell this is my very first attempt at writing for BeastForum.
